At DMG Motorsports, we present the Brembo GP4-MS Upgrade Front Brake Caliper Set — a true evolution of street-legal braking technology, brought to riders directly from Brembo's racing heritage. This is the first Brembo monobloc caliper machined from a single billet of aluminum built for road use, and it stands as the benchmark for serious front-end braking upgrades. Whether you're chasing sharper initial bite, more precise lever feel, or the confidence to push harder on track days, this caliper set is engineered to deliver it without compromising everyday reliability.
Designed with the same philosophy that drives Brembo's success in MotoGP and Superbike competition, the GP4-MS combines machining from solid billet aluminum with monobloc construction, a pairing that combines machining from solid with monobloc technology, the use of a single block of aluminium – offering a new design choice for motorcycle calipers in road applications. This approach was refined using topological optimisers, software derived from 40 years of Brembo victories in the premier World Championship class, resulting in a caliper body that maximizes rigidity while minimizing weight.
Each caliper in this front set is equipped with four 30 mm diameter pistons, which rewrite the rules for road-use calipers by nearly matching the performance of those used in the most important motorcycle competitions in the world. The design isn't just about power — the ribbing on the front section embraces the four pistons in aluminum and ensures the utmost stiffness of the system, transmitting to the rider a strong feeling of safety and reliability. To keep temperatures in check during hard use, the GP4-MS caliper features ventilation fins on the outer body, improving thermal exchange and cooling by air circulation caused by vehicle movement and the rotational-induced air movement of the brake discs and wheel.
Unlike track-only monobloc calipers, the GP4-MS is built for real-world durability. It shares a nickel surface finish with racing calipers, but uses a double gasket, one inside the piston and a second as a dust boot, which dispenses with the obligation to undergo the periodic overhauls that are characteristic of track calipers. The result is a caliper that looks and performs like it belongs on a MotoGP grid, while remaining practical for street and mixed-use riding.
